While doing some reading today, the book cited this quotation:
"At first people refuse to believe that a strange new thing can be done,
then they begin to hope it can be done,
then they see it can be done--
then it is done and all the world wonders why it was not done centuries ago."
- Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden
Isn't that the case with Brave? You think there's no possible way your can do something, but you wish you could. Then you imagine yourself doing it. And once you've gathered all the strength you can muster, you do it. It's wonderful and exciting and scary, and you wonder why you didn't take that step sooner. At least, that's what happens to me.
