We're friends.
Gabbi and I met last fall in a somewhat unfortunate history class. She was the saving grace of HIST 610.
She's the classiest girl I know. She threw a Kentucky Derby party and wore a fabulous hat. She's really into powdered wigs, historical sites, Lilly Pulitzer, pimento cheese, cute little bears, and Edward Rutledge. She likes to go on fun history adventures (and blog about them!). She even took me to see the Cheneys!
Gabbi is moving today, and the selfish part of me is a bit heartbroken. The rest of me is so happy and excited for her! She's starting a PhD program, and I just know she's gonna be the best historian ever.
I'm glad we're friends.
