Four Things

I recently listened to the Sold a Story podcast. It talks about reading curriculum in American schools and it's both completely heartbreaking and completely fascinating. I cannot stop thinking about it.

This month has been the month of the pajamas. I've purchased 3 sets just this month and I have absolutely zero regrets. They're just the coziest!

I'm determined to enjoy this winter. I do not enjoy being cold, I don't like snow, and I don't love being cooped up inside, so typically winter is my saddest time of year. But this year, I'm set on enjoying myself. Christmas makes it easy to get this goal off to a good start (I've been out to look at Christmas lights several times and it's just the best!). Last year, I purchased a really good puffer coat which makes being outdoors less daunting and I'm determined to spend less time moaning about the cold and take full advantage of the smaller crowds out and about.

One of my favorite feelings is when I truly fall into a book. It's been a while - I've had a rough few reading months where I struggled to find enjoy any book I picked up, so I decided to reread an old favorite and it has put me back on track. In the words of Jane Austen, "there is no enjoyment like reading!"
