Love

3/8/15

In honor of International Women's Day, some of my favorite words I've ever heard spoken to women from one of my favorite talks:

"My dear sisters, your Heavenly Father loves you--each of you. That love never changes. It is not influenced by your appearance, by your possessions, or by the amount of money you have in your bank account. It is not changed by your talents and abilities. It is simply there. It is there for you when you are sad or happy, discouraged or hopeful. God's love is there for you whether or not you feel you deserve love. It is simply always there."

Happy Anniversary to my sweet parents.  Sorry I don't have a picture of y'all. This one's for you; love you both!

You always call me in the car on your way home from somewhere interesting.

Shopping together.

"Peas Porridge Hot" and "My Grandfather's Clock"

Your sneeze that shakes the whole house.

The fact that you'll give Isabell Tootsie Rolls during church, but not your own children.

You laugh when I get excited about silly things.

You push me on the tire swing.

Remember when you acted in a play with me?

Your garden and grapefruit in the wintertime

The bone in your finger.

How you always get fun jams or cheeses and want me to try them.

Happy Father's Dad; I love you and hope you have the most wonderful day!

I am obsessed with Take Two, the latest photography story from Vogue with Tom Hiddleston and Cara Delevingne.  Usually I'm weirded out by the fake photographs and random dialogue, but this one really got me.  Bravo, Vogue.

To see the full spread, look here.

I'm feeling incredibly loved.  Today I received three little notes, one text message, and one phone call from friends and family just to say that they appreciate me.  I felt so special, and even teared up a few times.

We should tell people what we love about them; maybe they'll need it like I did.  Thank you to the sweet people who did it for me today--it means more than you know.

side note: isn't this picture the cutest?
