1. A Case of Mice and Murder by Sally Smith - My friend Abby loaned me this book. She got it at our book club's Christmas book swap, and I'm so glad that she shared it with me! This was such a fun read. A classic murder mystery set in The Temple in London. It was really clever and charming and I will definitely be reading the second book in series!
2. The Fox Wife by Yangsze Choo - I've read one other book by this author that I liked well enough to try another, and I'm glad I did. I much preferred this to her previous book. This is mystical mystery (if that's a genre?) set in Manchuria about a woman who is also a fox. I honestly think this one is best going in blind so I won't say more here, but I thought the fantasy was woven through the history in a really interesting way, and I couldn't predict where it was headed. Not for everyone, but was definitely for me!
